JULY 9, 2014
Life is inevitably full of highs and lows, moments
of great joy and moments of great challenge.
These moments can direct our lives closer to
God or conversely move us further away from
Him, and so it is important to constantly discern
the events of our lives.  In understanding how
these moments of life result in our experience of
interior feelings, emotions, inclinations, desires,
repulsions, or attractions, St. Ignatius of Loyola
devised 14 Rules of Discernment to provide a
framework for understanding where God is
present in our lives, no matter what we face.
Join us for a 2-part presentation on these 14
Rules of Discernment with seminarian Andrew
Wakefield, and begin to discern how those
movements of the soul that St. Ignatius calls
consolation and desolation may be invitations to
grow closer to God.  This 2-part series will be
held Wednesday July 9th and Wednesday July
16th from 7:00-8:00pm in OLOL library.  Light
refreshments will be served.  All are welcome!

Please join in singing God’s Praise! - Many, Many Thanks to our 10:30 Mass Choir Members and organist for their talents and dedication to providing beautiful music in praise and thanks to God. We will begin rehearsals again the Sunday after Labor Day, September 7 - 9 AM in the school choir room. If you enjoy praising God with your sing-ing, please consider joining us for the upcoming choir sea-son. If you have any questions, please call Paul Newport or Mary Gresock at 301-879-2069. Thanks again to you faith-ful singers! - See you in September!
