A native of Santo Domingo who came to the United States at 17 years of age,
Fr. Schad was ordained on June 14, 2008 at the age of 30.
He attended the College of William and Mary in
Williamsburg, VA, and later earned a master’s degree in
foreign service and a law degree from Georgetown
University. While there, Fr. Schad discerned his vocation
and after taking the bar exam, he entered Immaculate
Conception Seminary in South Orange, N.J. Fr. Schad has
served as a seminarian at St. John Neumann and St. Martin
of Tours in Gaithersburg, and at the Church of the Little
Flower in Bethesda. He was given the opportunity to serve
as a Deacon at the Papal Mass at Nationals Park on April
17. We are pleased that he has been assigned Parochial
Vicar at Our Lady of Lourdes, where his talents and
blessings as a new priest are a unique and special gift from
the Holy Spirit.
