Father James Patrick Meyers, a native of Omaha, Nebraska, attended St. John
Vianney Seminary in his home state and Immaculate Conception Seminary
in Conception, Missouri. He also studied at the Theological college
at the Catholic University Of America, where he received a
bachelor's degree in theology and pursued a master's until
his ordination in 1970. He has served as Associate Pastor
at St. John the Baptist, Silver Spring, the Cathedral of St.
Matthew the Apostle, NW; St. Bartholomew, Bethesda; St.
Patrick, NW; and St. Joseph on Capital Hill. In 1990, he was
named Pastor of St. Aloysius Gonzaga Parish in Leonardtown,
Maryland. He became Pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes in
January 1999. He previously served as the
Dean of Clergy in Middle Montgomery County.
